Offering reliability and performance by solving typical powder handling issues
The Cone Valve was invented, patented, and developed by Matcon.
- Applications:
- Controlled Discharge,
- Powder Handling
Matcons design avoids common issues like bridging, ratholing and segregation. It offers automatic and controlled discharge of virtually any powder type, winning where many other systems have failed.
Free-flowing powders can be controlled without the need for additional feeders, by using the variable lift height capability of the valve.
Examples of typical powder handling issues seen inside an IBC of poor flowing powders/granules:
Using Matcon’s unique Cone Valve technology ensures we can overcome these problems:
Matcon IBCs contain our unique Cone Valve technology which is designed to discharge your powders with mass-flow due to their 60° hopper angle, smooth interior surfaces and the unique operation of the Cone Valve technology.
Mass-flow is defined as all the powder is in motion across the whole of the container whenever any is withdrawn.
This efficient discharging method overcomes the traditional powder handling problems. It produces a first in-first out flow sequence, eliminating any stagnant areas, and providing a steady discharge with consistent bulk density, and a flow that is uniform and well-controlled
All of this means you get a perfectly homogenous mix right to the end of the batch, vital to ensure a top-quality product and fully satisfied customers.
